Comments and Explanation of the
Test Results
We are happy to report that it
passed certification test with flying colors!! Flight test report attached
The Karma SP was also submitted
for shock and load test which was successful, so Karma Sport is now fully EN
certified.
Karma SP tested for a maximum load
of 1,345kg. with no damage
This represents almost 170
kg. certified maximum load, making it approved wing for paramotor flying
across the range of machines, including small trikes
An interesting detail - the
load graph indicates a loading peak at over 2,200 kg. during load
test, which was absorbed with no problem by Karma SP. This is equal to 275
kg. maximum load, proving strength and integrity of the glider - well over
formal 170 kg. maximum load certification
Now S, M and L sizes of Karma SP
are fully certified for free flying and also load tested for paramotor use.
A lot of positive feedback on SP
has come in lately -
Gliders are in production and
deliveries taking place right now. Price unchanged

Karma
KARMA out-performs many
LTF 1-2 gliders
while maintaining LTF 1 security at all speeds. Best of all, the handling
is simply excellent, whether on the ground during launch, or thermalling
up, racing through the sky and climbing with complete confidence in the
strongest and tightest of thermals.
KARMA is designed for new pilots just after
training or for any pilot searching for a wing which inspires confidence,
but at the same time delivers the handling and performance to fly high and
far.
KARMA lets the pilot relax, concentrating on
flying, safe in the knowledge that the wing has passed the most recent and
stringent safety tests.
KARMA’s performance boundaries have been
pushed even further, handling is even sweeter, safety more reassuring and
launch is easier than ever.
New profile, further planform evolution, and loads of design innovations
were a major factor in improving overall performance of KARMA
The glider weight has been sharply reduced, even though we are still using
our time-proven, reliable Gelvenor cloth (in fact KARMA
is lighter than most rival gliders in its Class)

Karma with paramotor risers
The Karma is also available in a paramotor
version, with modified risers with trimmers.
Based on the ultra safe
LTF-1 Karma paraglider, it offers the ideal solution as a school
paramotor or as a first paramotor for the novice pilot.
Pull the risers fully in and the risers lengths
are the same as the free flying version, let them out when using with a
paramotor for the extra speed that is preferred when flying with a
paramotor.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS
Materials
The glider is made from tear resistant Ripstop Nylon
cloth, which is P.U. coated to zero porosity and then siliconized to give
the fabric high resistance to the elements. Different cloth is used for
the top, bottom and ribs due to their different functions. The lines are
made of superaramid covered with a polyester sheath for protection against
UV, wear and abrasion. The bottom section of the brake lines is made of
polyester because of its better mechanical properties. The karabiners that
attach the lines to the risers are made of stainless steel.
